Kazakhstan and South Korea Discussed Promising Areas of Cooperation in Biopharmaceuticals
As part of the Kazakh delegation's working visit to the Republic of Korea, a meeting was held with Noh Yeon-hong, President of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association (KPBMA). Yergali Abduraimov, Director General of "National Holding "QazBioPharm" JSC, participated in the negotiations as part of the official delegation.
Aleksey Tsoy, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced the outcomes of the key meeting on his official Facebook page.
As noted in the publication, KPBMA brings together leading South Korean pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies and is one of the country's key industry associations. The organization actively promotes the development of the innovative pharmaceutical industry, supports research and development (R&D), refines industry regulatory policies, and facilitates international cooperation and the promotion of Korean pharmaceutical products to global markets.
During the talks, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and biopharmaceuticals. Particular attention was paid to the localization of innovative drug production, the development of joint scientific research and clinical trials, technology transfer, as well as the strengthening of partnerships between research organizations and manufacturers of both countries.
