An International Conference Was Held in Astana on November 27–28 – El.kz


On November 27–28, an international conference titled “Biological Safety in the Context of Global Threats: Scientific and Technological Approaches to Counteraction” was held in Astana. The event was organized by QazBioPharm Joint Stock Company. More than 300 experts from government bodies, research centers, and international organizations from Kazakhstan, France, China, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan took part in the conference.


The conference addressed key challenges in biosafety, modern diagnostic approaches, the development of next-generation vaccines, and overcoming antimicrobial resistance. The program included four sections focused on monitoring the epidemiological and epizootic situation, developing diagnostic tools and technologies for infection prevention, as well as issues related to antimicrobial resistance.


The central event was the presentation of the results of the three-year program of the Biological Safety Consortium at an exhibition of high-tech products. Diagnostic test systems, vaccine platforms, medicinal products, and technological solutions were showcased.


At present, 12 scientific and technical programs and 77 projects are being implemented within the Holding’s structure under grant funding.


In recent years, scientists have published more than 300 scientific papers. Currently, 156 active patents and 53 product types ready for practical implementation in healthcare and veterinary medicine are in place.
