The Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation has summed up the results of the national competition for awards, which for many years has supported talented and proactive young people of Kazakhstan who contribute to the development of science, education, and innovation.

Among the award recipients is Maksat Kizatovich Zhabagin, Head of the Human Genetics Laboratory at the National Center for Biotechnology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, PhD.

The scientist’s work entitled “Development of a National Genetic Database for the Theoretical and Applied Advancement of Forensic DNA Identification in Kazakhstan” received high praise from the expert jury and was recognized as a significant contribution to the development of domestic genetics and biotechnology.
