The 120th Anniversary of Kazakh Veterinary Science Was Marked at an International Conference in Almaty


An international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute was held in Almaty. The event focused on the theme “120 Years of Kazakh Veterinary Science: Achievements and New Challenges in Ensuring Biological Safety” and brought together leading scientists and experts in the field of veterinary medicine from Kazakhstan and many foreign countries.


The conference was attended by Yerme k Kenzhekhanuly, Vice Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Romano Marabelli, Advisor to the Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH); as well as prominent scientists and specialists from Switzerland, the People’s Republic of China, South Korea, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Türkiye, Georgia, and other countries, underscoring the high level of international interest in the development of veterinary science in Kazakhstan.
