An International Conference Dedicated to the 120th Anniversary of Veterinary Science Was Held in Almaty —


A scientific and practical conference titled “120 Years of Kazakh Veterinary Science: Achievements and New Challenges in Ensuring Biological Safety” was held in Almaty to mark the anniversary of the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute, a Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.


In her welcoming remarks, Minister of Healthcare Akmaral Alnazarova emphasized the historical significance of the institute as one of the country’s first scientific institutions.


“Over more than a century of its history, the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute has made a substantial contribution to the development of veterinary science, livestock farming, and public health by developing dozens of diagnostic methods, vaccines, and medicinal products aimed at combating especially dangerous infections such as brucellosis, anthrax, and foot-and-mouth disease,” she noted.
