On the Official Handover Ceremony of the Book “QazVac: Taytalas” to the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On March 14, 2024, JSC National Holding QazBioPharm held an official ceremony to present the book “QazVac: Taytalas” to the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by Aralbek Rsaliev, Deputy General Director for Science, Commercialization, and Production of JSC National Holding QazBioPharm; Gaziza Nurgalieva, Director of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan; and other library representatives.
During the ceremony, Deputy General Director Aralbek Rsaliev spoke about the inception of the domestic vaccine, the challenges faced along the way, the risky decisions made, and the achievements attained. He also emphasized the importance of promoting the dedication and professionalism of Kazakh scientists who played a key role in developing the domestic vaccine.
In addition, the library director, Gaziza Nurgalieva, noted that the book “QazVac: Taytalas” will be widely promoted among readers through the library.
“QazVac: Taytalas” is a documentary and journalistic book that tells the story of how scientists from the National Research Institute for Biological Safety, a subsidiary of QazBioPharm, developed the domestic QazVac vaccine during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The idea for this work was conceived by Kunsulu Zakarya, who served as the General Director of the National Research Institute for Biological Safety during the pandemic and led the team of scientists that developed the QazVac vaccine.
The main purpose of the book is to convey to the public the dedication of scientists during the pandemic crisis and to promote Kazakh science in society.
