120 Years of Kazakh Veterinary Science!
In Almaty, an International Scientific and Practical Conference was held on the topic: “120 Years of Kazakh Veterinary Science: Achievements and New Challenges in Ensuring Biological Safety,” dedicated to the anniversary of the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute.
The event brought together representatives of ministries of health, government agencies, as well as scientists and specialists from research institutions in Kazakhstan, Russia, China, South Korea, European countries, Belarus, Georgia, Tajikistan, and other nations.
During the opening of the conference, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akmaral Alnazarova, emphasized the historical significance of the institute as one of the country’s first scientific institutions.
“Over its more than 120-year history, the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute has made a significant contribution to the development of veterinary science, animal husbandry, and public health, having developed dozens of diagnostic methods, vaccines, and medicines to combat highly dangerous infectious diseases such as brucellosis, anthrax, and glanders,” the Minister noted.
