Kamshat Musakhanovna Akhmetova

Akhmetova Kamshat Musakhanovna – PhD in Epidemiology, graduate of Astana Medical University. She began her professional career in 2010 as a researcher at the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition in Almaty. From 2011 to 2013, she continued her scientific work at the National Center for Healthy Nutrition, and from 2013 to 2014, she worked as an epidemiologist at the National Scientific Center for Maternal and Child Health in Astana.

In 2014, Kamshat Akhmetova completed her Master’s degree at the Medical University of Astana in the specialty of “Medical Preventive Care” and soon joined the team at the Medical Technologies and Information Systems Center JSC, where she worked as a manager until 2019. From 2019 to 2023, she held the position of specialist at the Gerontology Center of the Medical Center of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From February to August 2023, he was the Head of the Department for the Formation, Analysis and Data Processing of the Biological Safety Information System of the Holding. From September 2023 to January 2024, she was the Acting Deputy Director General. Performed work on interaction with government agencies, public and commercial organizations, structural divisions and subordinate organizations of the Holding, preparation of information, analytical materials and references within the competence of the Holding, preparation of proposals for the formation and improvement of the biological safety system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participated in meetings (forums, meetings) on biological safety issues.
From January 3, 2024 to the present – Director of the Department of Biological Safety.

Kamshat Musakhanovna is actively involved in scientific research and the implementation of scientific and technical projects in the fields of medicine and biological safety. She is the author of more than 30 scientific publications, including 9 articles indexed in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. Her Hirsch index in Scopus is 3. She holds 2 patents for utility models, over 10 authorship certificates, and has developed 7 methodological recommendations.

She has undergone advanced training in the specialty of “Hygiene and Epidemiology,” completing courses on “Current Issues in Bacteriology, Virology, and Epidemiology” and “Biosafety in Highly Dangerous Infections of Groups I-II Pathogenicity.” She studied in Spain under the “Innovation in Medicine” program at the Graduate School of Management and in Lithuania, where she studied biostatistics at Klaipeda University. She gained practical experience during an internship in the United States under the “Work and Travel” program (2010). She has participated in international scientific conferences in Azerbaijan (2016), Russia (2019), and Germany (2023).

Currently, she continues to participate in the implementation of scientific and scientific-technical projects and programs, furthering research in the fields of medicine and biological safety.
