From December 2 to 15, 2024, a training program for specialists from the subsidiaries of the National holding “QazBioPharm” was held in Freiburg, Germany. The program was organized under Budget Program 005 and aimed to develop professional competencies in biological research and biosafety.

THE HOLDING’S GENERAL DIRECTOR, ERGALI ORYNBASARULY ABDURAIMOV, STATED:

“Thanks to close cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this year we were able to organize training for our specialists in Germany. We are confident that this program will significantly enhance their qualifications and help implement new methods in the work of our organizations.”

The training involved 12 specialists from various subsidiaries of the holding:

• Two specialists from the Scientific Center for Anti-Infectious Drugs were trained in “Using Artificial Intelligence in Research and Management.”
• One specialist from the National Biotechnology Center studied “Genetic Engineering,” while two others completed the course “Basics of Flow Cytometry and Working with the MACSQuant Analyzer.”
• Two specialists from the National Scientific Center for Particularly Dangerous Infections named after Masgut Aikimbaev improved their qualifications in “Genetic Engineering.”
• Two specialists from OtarBioPharm participated in training on “Basics of Biomanufacturing – A Practical Approach.”
• Three specialists from the Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems were trained in “Genetic Engineering.”

The training program provided specialists with the opportunity to learn advanced technologies and tools, establish professional connections with international colleagues, and bring new knowledge and approaches to their organizations.
