Scientists from QazBioPharm have been recognized for their outstanding contributions to science

In accordance with the order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 591 of December 25, 2024, a number of researchers from the Holding’s subsidiary organizations have been awarded prestigious honors.
Maksat Kizatovich Zhabagin, head of the human genetics laboratory at the National Biotechnology Center, was awarded the Ch. Ch. Valikhanov Prize for the best scientific research in the humanities for his work on “The genetic history of ancient and modern populations of Central Eurasia: a view through the prism of paleogenetics and Y-chromosome phylogeography”.
Elena Vitalievna Zholdybayeva, head of the shared use laboratory at the National Biotechnology Center, was awarded a state scientific scholarship.
Additionally, the Republican Competition Commission awarded the “Best Scientist of the Year” prize to 50 scientists who have made significant contributions to the development of domestic science. Among the awardees are three employees of the Holding’s subsidiaries: A.M. Abdybekova, Deputy General Director for Scientific Activities at the Kazakh Research Veterinary Institute; E.V. Zholdybayeva, Head of the Shared Use Laboratory at the National Biotechnology Center; and A.B. Shevtsov, Head of the Applied Genetics Laboratory at the National Biotechnology Center.
These achievements reflect the high professionalism of QazBioPharm scientists and their contribution to the development of domestic and global science. The Holding is proud of its specialists and continues to support their pursuit of new scientific heights.
