On June 24, 2025, representatives of JSC “National Holding QazBioPharm” and the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a working meeting with a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, including the leadership of Shanghai United Cell Biotechnology Co., Ltd, R&D specialists, and representatives of Wenzhou Medical University.

As part of the visit program, the Chinese delegation was introduced to the scientific and production developments of the Holding’s subsidiaries. The management of the Holding presented the main areas of activity and key achievements, including innovative developments in biopharmaceuticals and diagnostics.

The event continued in the format of a roundtable discussion. During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including the localization of high-tech production in Kazakhstan. The sides exchanged views on regulatory frameworks, the organization of production infrastructure, and the implementation of joint initiatives in the field of biopharmaceuticals.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further exploring potential forms of collaboration and outlined steps to advance the dialogue for the implementation of the project.

The National Holding QazBioPharm continues to fulfill its mission to develop Kazakhstan’s biopharmaceutical sector and remains open to international partnerships in strategically important areas.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Kazakh delegation visited Shanghai and became acquainted with the production facilities of the Chinese company. As a return visit, on June 23 of this year, the Chinese delegation visited the domestic OtarBioPharm plant to assess the potential for local production.
