Limited Liability Partnership “National Center for Biotechnology” (NCB) is a subsidiary of JSC “National Holding QazBioPharm.”

The National Center for Biotechnology was established in 1993 by a Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Center implements programs in the fields of biotechnology, biological safety, agriculture, and healthcare.

The National Center for Biotechnology is located in Astana and operates a network of branches in Almaty and Stepnogorsk. In the capital, there are 15 laboratories with various specializations, while Stepnogorsk hosts 3 laboratories, and Almaty has 4 laboratories.

Objectives of NCB Activities:

— Conducting scientific research in accordance with national priorities for scientific and technological development;
— Developing new technologies and biotechnological products;
— Designing and participating in the implementation of scientific-technical programs, grants, and innovative projects;
— Introducing new, effective developments from domestic and global science in the field of biotechnology;
— Developing mutually beneficial cooperation with domestic and foreign institutions for conducting research and transferring technologies.
