Kazakhstan-France Cooperation: Training on Foot-and-Mouth Disease Vaccines
From December 18 to 19, several specialists from the National Holding “QazBioPharm” and its subsidiaries participated in a training and internship program in Lyon, France.
The participants included Amanzhol Zharbolekov, Chief Expert of the Certification and Product Quality Department at the National Holding “QazBioPharm”; Sergazy Nurabayev, Deputy Director for Production at the Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems; Kuanish Dzhekebekov, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory for Technology and Bioproducts Control at the same institute; and Bekzat Ismagambetov, Head of the Scientific and Technical Department of “OtarBioPharm” LLP.
The event was organized as part of strengthening international cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in partnership with one of the world’s leading companies, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health France.
The training program focused on gaining practical experience in the development, production, and application of foot-and-mouth disease vaccines. In addition, they learned about modern French technologies in the production of veterinary drugs, gained experience in vaccine quality control and the implementation of international standards.
This internship contributes to the advancement of Kazakhstan’s veterinary industry, particularly in improving standards of biological safety and livestock production. It also lays the groundwork for strengthening scientific and industrial ties between Kazakhstan and France.
As noted by experts from Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health France, the program enhances the professional competencies of Kazakh specialists and provides opportunities to improve vaccine production systems in compliance with international standards.
Such high-level collaboration in the veterinary field is expected to continue in the future.
