Kazakhstan Delegation in France: Developing Cooperation in Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals
In Paris, Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova met with Minister of Healthcare of the French Republic Mr. Yannick Neuder, reports the official website of the Ministry of Healthcare of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in areas such as primary healthcare, oncology, cardiology, traumatology, and emergency medicine. Special attention was given to projects involving the French Development Agency (AFD) and Expertise France aimed at modernizing Kazakhstan’s healthcare infrastructure.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on localizing the production of medical products by the French company Sanofi in Kazakhstan. This step will contribute to the development of the domestic pharmaceutical sector and expand public access to modern medical technologies.
The trip was also attended by Mr. Yergali Abdurayimov, Chairman of the Management Board of the National Holding “QazBioPharm”, who presented the Holding’s position on the development of biopharmaceutical research and the localization of vaccine production.
In addition, negotiations were held with representatives of leading French pharmaceutical companies, including Sanofi, Ipsen, Servier, Boehringer Ingelheim, Ellipse, C3 Medical, and La Salle Blanche. The companies expressed interest in further expanding cooperation, including in the areas of technology transfer and localization of production in Kazakhstan.
