JSC “Scientific Center for Anti-Infective Drugs”
is a subsidiary of JSC “National Holding QazBioPharm.”

Main Areas of Activity:

• Scientific research in the fields of medicine, chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmacy aimed at protecting humans from bacterial, viral, and bacterial-viral (mixed) infections.
• Development and production of new anti-infective drugs.

Types of Activities:

• Development and research of new medicines and veterinary drugs, including those against particularly dangerous bacterial and viral infections in humans, mixed infections, and methods of their application.
• Conducting scientific activities in the fields of medicine, clinical, and therapeutic-diagnostic practices.
• Participation in the study and creation of drugs using narcotic substances and their derivatives, psychotropic substances, and precursors.
• Training, conformity assessment, and certification within the Republic of Kazakhstan in the main areas of the company’s activities.

Structural Divisions:

The Scientific Center for Anti-Infective Drugs includes six research departments and eight scientific laboratories.

Areas of Focus:

• Development of new anti-infective drugs.
• Research on the reversal of antibiotic resistance in pathogenic microorganisms.
• Testing of new medical and veterinary drugs is conducted by laboratories specializing in pharmacology and toxicology, virology, immunology, microbiology, radiochemistry and radiobiology, physical and bioorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, and pharmaceutical technology.
• Additional facilities include a laboratory for physical-chemical research methods, departments for preclinical and clinical trials, experimental production, a testing center, and a quality control department.
