On August 20, 2024, JSC “National Holding QazBioPharm” hosted a meeting to discuss innovative projects.

Participants included the Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation, K. Zakarya, the Holding’s management, the First Secretary of the Investment Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, S. Sabyr, representatives from LLP “X-MATRIX,” LLP “National Scientific Oncology Center” (represented by B. Anapia), the General Director of the National Biotechnology Center, V. Ogai, and laboratory heads.

During the meeting, K. Zakarya emphasized the importance of advancing cutting-edge projects in biotechnology, attracting investments for large-scale initiatives, and engaging in negotiations with leading foreign companies to promote the Holding’s scientific endeavors.

Z. Mamet-Aliyev, a representative of LLP “X-MATRIX,” presented a project to establish the production of “X-Graft” in collaboration with the National Biotechnology Center.

The “X-Graft” biological coating consists of natural collagen and elastin fibers and has biomechanical properties similar to human skin. Its applications include healing burns and chronic wounds, increasing soft tissue volume around dental implants, and more.

Plans are underway to register “X-Graft” as a medical device and market it in Kazakhstan and other regions following the launch of mass production.

Y. Abdurayimov emphasized that the Holding supports large-scale projects and must work closely with leading companies.

V. Ogai discussed promising developments in stem cell research, scientific projects on hemostatic sponges for surgeries, and other initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan on Science and Innovation, K. Zakarya, issued specific directives regarding the discussed scientific projects.
