On March 14, 2024, the National Holding Company “QazBioPharm” held an official presentation ceremony of the book “QazVac: Taitalas” to the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by Aralbek Rsaliev, Deputy Director General for Science, Commercialization and Production of the National Holding Company QazBioPharm, Gaziza Nurgaliyeva, Head of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and representatives of the library.
Aralbek Rsaliev, Deputy General Director of the Holding, spoke about when and how the creation of a domestic vaccine began, what difficulties he faced along the way, how risky decisions were made and what achievements were achieved, as well as the priority of promoting the feat of Kazakh scientists who demonstrated a high level of professionalism in creating a domestic vaccine.
In addition, the head of the library, Gaziza Nurgaliyeva, noted that the book “QazVac: Taitalas” will be popularized among a wide range of readers through the library.
“QazVac: Taitalas” is a nonfiction nonfiction book that tells how scientists at the Scientific Research Institute for Biosafety Problems, a subsidiary of the Holding Company, developed the domestic vaccine “QazVac” during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The author of the idea of this work is Kunsulu Zakaria, who was the Director General of the Scientific Research Institute for Biosafety Problems during the pandemic and led the group of scientists who developed the QazVac vaccine.
The main purpose of the book is to convey to the general public the dedication of scientists during the pandemic crisis and to popularize Kazakh science in society.
