Scientific and Technological Council is a collegial advisory body established to coordinate and enhance the effectiveness of the research and innovation activities of QazBioPharm National Holding JSC.
The Council operates in accordance with the Charter of the Holding, internal regulatory documents, and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the fields of science, education, biological safety, and commercialization of scientific developments.
Key objectives of the Council:
- Identifying priority areas for scientific research and commercialization of high-tech products;
- Developing scientific and innovation activities within the Holding’s subsidiaries;
- Coordinating major scientific projects and programs;
- Supporting the training of highly qualified scientific personnel;
- Fostering partnerships with scientific and educational institutions.
Functions of the Council:
- Developing a strategy for the advancement of research activities;
- Planning and coordinating scientific research conducted by the subsidiaries;
- Monitoring the implementation of scientific projects and programs;
- Preparing recommendations on candidates for scientific awards and competitions;
- Reviewing reports on scientific and production activities.
The Scientific and Technological Council is aimed at developing the scientific potential of the Holding, introducing advanced technologies, and ensuring effective interaction between science and production.
Composition and working procedure:
The Council is composed of the Holding’s management, leading scientific researchers, and industry experts. The Chairman of the Council is the Chief Executive Officer of the Holding, the Deputy Chairman is the Deputy CEO for Science and Technology, and the Secretary of the Council is the head of the authorized structural unit.
